In Science on Thursday Year 1 were learning about the wonders of Lego including who invented it and how it is made. The children found out about the properties of plastic and why it makes a suitable material for the bricks. Did you know that the name "Lego" is an abbreviation of the Danish words "leg godt" which means "play well"? Year 1 children became engineers by making their own creations!
