An answer to plastic

In science club this week, the children investigated what happens when you add vinegar to milk. The protein in the milk reacts with the acid in the vinegar. A milk protein is created, which is a polymer (long chain). Plastics are made from long chain molecules which can be heated and moulded. This is an alternative source to plastic that scientists are looking into rather than using oil which is in short supply.
